ADMINISTRATIVE/ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • A minimum of five (5) CXC O'Level Qualifications
  • A minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in administration and accounts or similar position.
  • Candidate must be a mature and professional individual.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in related field.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Customer Service Oriented.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Inputs and Audits invoice data for assigned properties. Making sure to minimize the chance of double payments and making sure the invoices are coded accurately.
  • Responsible for preparing basic data for Accounts such as Bank Reconciliation, VAT, etc.
  • Distributing vendor payment. Example: Wire Transfers, Bank Drafts, etc.
  • Fields vendor inquiries regarding payments.
  • Maintains filing system.
  • Responsible for managing month-end and year-end cutoff procedures for accounts payable and accounts receivables.
  • Responsible for preparing reserve draws.
  • Assists with month end by preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
  • Provides information by answering questions and requests.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms control, office layout, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing changes.
  • Maintains workflow by studying methods; implementing cost reductions; and developing reporting procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
