is offering this vacancy notice on behalf of its client as follows:

The client is seeking to recruit Assertive, Dynamic individuals to fill the position of:

LEGAL SECRETARY - Conveyancing

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide general secretarial and administrative support to an attorney in the Corporate & Commercial Department.

Core Functions:

-       Drafting of Deeds & other correspondence as required

-       Facilitate the execution of mortgage bills of sale and chattel mortgages and prepare letters and bills relating thereto

-       Liaise with clients including officers at financial institutions, throughout each transaction

-       Handle queries and correspondence from clients

-       Schedule appointments and maintain accurate diary

-       Other related duties

Minimum Requirements

-       A recognized secretarial certification or acceptable equivalent

-       At least 5 CXC General passes (including English Language) or equivalent

-       3 years’ experience in a similar position

-       Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

-       Knowledge of Deeds and Conveyancing (most important)

-       Knowledge of secretarial functions

-       Knowledge of administrative and clerical systems and procedures such as word processing and records management

-       Advanced typing and note-taking skills

-       Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills

-       Organizational and time management skills

-       Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

-       Working knowledge of practice management software Amicus would be an asset.
