Customer Service Representative



Job Function

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for the administration of the Front Office and receiving patients/ clients.  All activities must conform to organizational guidelines and standards and to all legal requirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

*Receives patients/ clients and responds appropriately to queries and requests and assists in the completion of required forms
*Performs general administrative duties including but not limited to: 
*Files all relevant patient/client information in the respective files
*Retrieves files based on requests
*Compiles, verifies and types medical records
*Translates doctors’ dictations of patient care and treatment into comprehensive typed records
*Refers complaints regarding billing or service to the Customer Service Representative Supervisor
*Handles incoming and outgoing calls and correspondence according to company’s standards
*Maintains the integrity of the Private Practice Software by ensuring that all data is entered accurately
*Maintains hard copy ad electronic filing systems to facilitate easy retrieval and proper record keeping in-keeping with company’s standards
*Maintains confidentiality

WESTSHORE (in addition to duties 1 to 7)

*Assists with the scheduling of doctors’ rosters in conjunction with the Lead Consultant
*Raises all charges to facilitate collection of funds by accounting personnel
*Visits the Ward, CCU and ICU to determine if there are any patients requiring appointments
*Ensures that patient demographics are recorded on insurance forms and coordinates completion
*Types ECHOs and TOEs and ensures that reports are completed
*Maintains confidentiality
*Performs any other relevant duties

Qualifications and Experience

*5 CXC Level passes including Mathematics and English Language
*One (1) year experience in a similar position
*Computer literate

*Able to read and interpret written information
