Position:
Warehouse Coordinator (6 month Contract in the first instance)

Details:

 The Warehouse Coordinator oversees all routine warehouse activities, to ensure efficient processes, and the maximization of warehouse productivity. His/ her responsibilities include supervising employees, coordinating logistical processes; ensuring the quality of goods dispatched, and preparing relevant documentation. Work is done on a shift basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Supervising warehouse staff (including supervising staff on a shift basis)  and ensuring that employees  perform their duties at an acceptable standard,

·       Monitoring, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity by compiling pick team performance reports and other reports as requested

·       Tracking the receipt and storage of finished products

·       Coordinating timely delivery of goods and materials.

·       Conducting additional verification/ audit of orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.

·       Collate and maintain daily warehouse performance records

·       Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds, and undertaking other activities to ensure that basic property maintenance and sanitation standards are adhered to

·       Provide oversight to and perform office administrative duties in the absence of substantive employees

·       Ensuring staff compliance with health and safety regulations.

·       Ensuring the property is safely opened, closed or otherwise kept secure  

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

·       A minimum of a Diploma in Management, Logistics or a related field.

·       At least 5 years’ previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor/ Coordinator or a similar management position.

·       Strong grasp of Distribution processes including: dispatching deliveries, batching loads and routings.

·       Experience in a unionized environment would be as asset


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

·       Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.

·       Time management skills

·       Ability to effectively supervise staff.

·       Excellent leadership and organizational skills.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software.

·       Problem-solving skills.
